Questa pagina è stata fatta per elencarvi passo passo come usare queste mappe se non avete usato precedentemente nessun programma Garmin (Punti A e B). e siete nuovi al mondo openmtbmap (Punti C: D:). Da notare, che non è necessario che abbiate un GPS Garmin per utilizzare queste mappe. Se non avete un GPS Garmin i punti A: e D: sono comunque validi.
Note per un orientamento generate con le openmtbmap.org. La sezione about tratta argomenti specifici delle openmtbmap (o limitazioni dovute a mkgmap – il compilatore opensource per i dati OSM). La sezione tutorial riguarda argomenti relativi ai GPS Garmin o le Openstreetmap.
A: Installare le Mappe sul Computer
1. Scaricate le openmtbmap di vostra scelta da http://openmtbmap.org/download/
- se volete usare le mappe con Qlandkarte GT o con Nix allora decomprimete le mappe con 7-zip (compressione lzma) Da notare che i programmi Zip inclusi con Windows/Mac/Linux probabilmente non possono decomprimere i file .exe. Gli utenti che usano Windows possono seguire il programma di installazione .exe.
2. Installate Mapsource –> http://openmtbmap.org/tutorials/install-mapsource/
Gli utenti Linux, possono installare Mapsource seguendo la stessa procedura sotto Wine
Da notare , Installate almeno una (meglio due) mappe Openmtbmaps di vostra scelta, PRIMA di installare Mapsource. In alternativa l'installazione di Garmin Basecamp è più semplice (ricerca su Google ed installalo).
B: Inviare le Mappe al GPS:
O cliccate semplicemente su "create gmapsupp.img.bat" che però funziona solo per gli utenti Windows. Quindi mettete il file gmapsupp.img generato dentro la cartella \GARMIN sul vostro GPS o sulla SD dove disponibile (da notare che i nuovi GPS consentono di rinominare il file ad esempio mtb_italia.img (mantenere i nomi brevi)). O seguite una dei seguenti tutorial:
- /tutorials/send-maps-to-your-gps/mapsource/ se avete seguito i passi precedenti ed avete installato Mapsource. Inviate le mappe tramite Mapsource o Basecamp è l'unico modo possibile per avere la ricerca per indirizzi sul proprio GPS.
- o (solo per utenti esperti) create il file gmapsupp.img con mkgmap seguendo il tutuorial disponibile qui (con qualsiasi OS che supporti Java): /tutorials/send-maps-to-your-gps/mkgmap/ e mettete il file gmapsupp.img creato nella cartella \GARMIN sul proprio GPS o sulla SD. Potete anche usare mapsettoolkit o gmaptool per farlo.
NOTE: sui vecchi GPS tutte le mappe devono essere mandate un unica volta. E possono essere attivate/disattivate tramite il Menu sul proprio GPS.
Sui nuovi dispositivi tuttavia è meglio inviare tutte le mappe separatamente e rinominare il file gmapsupp.img, perchè altrimenti non potete disattivare singole mappe inviate tramite Mapsource/Basecmap in un unica volta .

bin ein GPS-Anfänger. Habe ein etrex Vista HCx und auch gleich ein Problem. Schalte mein GPS ein und schließe es an den Computer an und schon ist es wieder aus. Mein PC macht keine Anstalten, das Gerät “nicht” zu erkennen – sondern das Gerät schaltet sich einfach beim Anschluss aus.
Kann mir da jemand helfen
Du kannst beim Vista HCx in den Einstellungen einstellen, was passiert bei PC Anschluss – gibt 2 Möglichkeiten. Ausgehen sollte es trotzdem nicht – sondern stattdessen ein USB Symbol im Display auftauchen – und alle weitere Buttons blockiert….
Probier beide Einstellungen aus, wenn es bei beiden aus Mapsource/Basecamp nicht erkannt wird (Garmin USB Treiber müssen evtl noch zusätzlich am PC installiert werden) – dann kann dir wohl nur der Support von Garmin helfen (am besten vorher aber nochmal ohne Micro-SD Karten probieren).
Hallo, zuerst mal grossen Dank! Ich brauche die Karten in Haiti und schätze sie sehr! Hier kann man zwar noch nicht wirklich von MTB-Karten reden, aber es sind mit Abstand die besten, die es gibt.
Jetzt wollte ich auch noch die Contourlines dazu. Habe das entstprechende File herunter geladen, entpackt und in den Ordner mir den Basiskarten kopiert, mtbcentral-america-setup gestartet und option “integrate contourlines for central america” angewählt. Resultat: Nix, man sieht keine Höhenlinie, sondern nur die Basiskarte. Was mache ich falsch?
Du musst das “Höhenlinien File” auch entpacken. Siehe auch Europakarte: http://openmtbmap.org/de/support/europe-map/
Installation ist identisch, außer dass das entpacken der Kartendaten entfällt. (oder benutzt du Mapsource? Dort sind die Höhenlinien nicht (korrekt) sichtbar. In Basecamp bzw Qlandkarte GT dagegen schon. Übertragbar ans GPS sind die Höhenlinien jedoch auch mit Mapsource).
Ok, jetzt hat es geklappt. Ich hatte eigentlich alles richtig gemacht, aber anscheinend waren die verschiedenen Verstionen von Karte und Contourline nicht kompatibel, die Kartendaten waren von letzem Oktober. Nachdem ich die aktuellen Daten geladen habe, sehe ich auch die Höhenlinien.

Running BaseCamp v4.05
I have downloaded europe map, into folder C:\garmin\openmtbmap\eu (there is a filename mapsetc_mdr.img size 389440kb resident).
In BaseCamp – openmtbmap_europe_07.09.2012 displays in the field on status bar. However, I only have a blank page – no map – on the BC display. There is no map detail, only my previously saved route data.
What have I done wrong?

You didn’t unpack the mapfiles (.7z file) – have a look at the screenshot – you need 6*.img and if you selected contourlines on installation also 7*.img see: http://openmtbmap.org/support/europe-map/
Hallo, an die Frage von christoph pfau anzuknüpfen und gleichzeitig mit dem gleichen Problem zu kämpfen:
Die verknüpfte Dateien sind exe. Und ich habe noch keinen Mac gesehen, der eine exe Datei durchführt, bzw. öffnet. Die Austria (free sample country download) Karte für MacOS X , die ich dringend brauche, ist leider nicht verknüpft. Also falls ich Ihnen die 20 Euro idealistischer Weise gespendet habe und die openmtbmaps nicht nutzen kann, machen Sie bitte damit etwas g´scheidtes.
Für event. Hilfe bin ich dankbar Martin
Die Mac Dateien unten sind alle gmap (mit 7zip lzma2 gepackt) – die Österreich, kapier ich grad nicht was mit dem Link los ist. Wähle sie hier einfach aus: ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/misc/openstreetmap/openmtbmap/odbl/ runterscrollen bis mtbaustria.gmap.7z

habe einen imac, ein garmin edge 800, base camp und mapinstall installiert, 7z gedownloaded jetzt kommt mein problem !!!!
irgendwie blick ich es wohl nicht. mtbbaden -wuerttemberg.gmap gedownloaded aber wie bekomme ich dieses in basecamp ??
tut mir echt leid diese bestimmt bescheuerte frage stellen zu müssen, aber kann mir bitte geholfen werden !!!

Les dir auf der Downloadseite die Erklärung genau durch. Es reicht die gmap.7z zu entpacken und in den richtigen Ordner zu verschieben. Alternativ entpacken, Garmin Mapinstall for Mac installieren, und dann die gmap doppelklicken – dann verschiebt/kopiert Mapinstall es in den richtigen Ordner.
uui,danke für die schnelle antwort !!! es gelingt mir leider nicht mit unarchiver , eurem link, zu entpacken , meine macversion 10.5.8 ,lässt dies nicht zu. mapinstall for mac ist installiert.
gibt es alternativen ??

ich hab keine Ahnung von Mac Versionen, aber es muss möglich sein .7z zu entpacken (und nein, nicht den Link entpacken, sondern Downloaden (evtl mit Firefox/Chrome) und dann mit Unarchiver entpacken. Unarchiver ist halt das Standardprogram AFAIK. Evtl ist der Download kaputt? Dann kannst du es mal mit einer Mini Karte wie Andorra oder Bremen versuchen.

I cannot install BaseCamp 331. It “hangs up” (in German: hängt sich auf) at the beginning, showing the window “0% Extracting Garmin Web Update”. I have to finish the process in the Task manager. There the description says 7z SFX. I uninstalled and re-installed 7z, but the problem remained.

I have no clue. Best contact Garmin – Basecamp should be installable without any prerequisites on Windows or Mac Osx. Another chance would be, that your download got corrupted – so first redownload.
DANKE, es hat geklappt…… musste nach langem hin und her feststellen das es unterschiedliche unarchiver gibt. genauer gesagt für “ältere” und neue mac systeme. meine version mac 10.5.8. zählt zu den älteren also musste ich eine ätere version von unarchiver downloaden, auf die der link nicht sofort stößt.
also es hat endlich funktioniert und ich bin glücklich, nochmals danke für die hilfe hier !!!
