you mean to transfer the maps? You can create the gmapsupp.img also with mkgmap.jar. I wrote an explication into the information file, or you can also find it here on the top in the submenus. From next update the extended explications will be included. And I'll try to update the homepage in that regard.

Qlandkarte installing is easy but it needs the helpers and libraries part installation also, but the latter can´t be installed on a MacAir Notebook, needs to be a PowerPcMac :( , so I have to start to work with Basecamp that I have, but the the downloaded maps can not yet to be found. Have to work with that problem...

look into information for Qlandkarte GT users.txt...
"
mapset --- for maps without contourlines integrated. (e.g. mapset.img / mapset_mdr.img / mapset.tdb)
mapsetc --- Theese are the mapset files which integrate the contourlines into the map
mapsetx --- Theese are the mapset files which do not integrate the contourlines into the map
mapsetz --- Theese mapset files are for you if you want to have a separate contourlines only map. For compatibility with mapsetx maps when used on the same device - they use a different FID.
"

.typ-files look them up using Qlnandkarte GT to choose.

Converting and installing the maps using Mac OSX only (instructions by Tom)(hoping to get a autoroute possibility)
Having loaded and extracted the maps with Keka following the instructions the next step is to choose the mapset.tdb but my choices in the computer are:
1)mapsetc.tdb
2)mapsetx.tdb
3)mapsetz.tdb
Which one shall I choose or is the right still missing?
And second question: how do I choose the right .typ file if I do have more than one option?
