Send Maps to your GPSThere are several ways to do this. Please have a look into the subtopics. Principally you can: 1. Use Mapsource (under Windows) 2. Use Qlandkarte GT (cross-platform) – might be difficult to compile for your system. 3. Use mkgmap (cross-platform) 4. Convert the maps (using Windows) to Garmin Roadtrip for Mac OSx and use that instead of Mapsource. 5. Use sendmap. Ich habe auf http://www.mtbnavi.de zwei Kartensets für Deutschland und die Alpen inklusive Höhenlinien hochgeladen. Mit Installationsprogramm, was den Download entpackt und auf die Speicherkarte kopiert.

Ich habe mir schnell ein Shellskript zusammengehackt, welches die aktuelle Ausgabe der OpenMTBMap vom Server laedt, entpackt und mit gmaptool eine .img-Datei fuers Garmin erzeugt.
Diese Vorgehensweise bietet sich besonders fuer Geräte an, die mit mehreren .img-Dateien umgehen können (Colorado mit neuester Firmware, Oregon ab Version 2.99).
Der Ablauf ist simpel: Das Skript runterladen und ausführen. Nach Beendigung liegt eine .img Datei im selben Directory – diese einfach auf das Gerät kopieren, fertig.

Das Skript ist wie gesagt nur schnell zusammengehackt, mal schauen, ob da noch was Anständiges draus entsteht.
